Exactly what makes Frank Thomas a manager. He played baseball at an exceptional level? Playing the game and being a manager are different skillsets.

What makes anyone managerial material? It seems that if you dont win a world series then you are considered a failure. That means 29 of 30 are not managerial ready or qualified

People who are typically hired to manage actually have managerial experience in the minors and they have learned their craft. Randomly taking former superstars and just giving them the job gets us exactly into the same position we are in today. If Frank Thomas wants to spend some time in the minors learning how to manage than so be it. Same thing with things like pitching coach and hitting coach. Just because you did something as a player doesn't mean you can teach it or coach it. Some of the best managers have been some of the worst major leaguers or never made it to the majors.

Tie game. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with no out.

Morneau is so good. I wish the Sox could keep him.

And here comes the suck

Well... There it was. However it was a double plus good suck.

The absolutely has the patented "White Sox walk off loss" blown save feel.

Another walk for TA

Whatever Stanton just did, didn't look good

Exactly!

Enough of this cronyism. Go out and hire a manager with previous experience at least at the minor league level and with NO connection, repeat NONE to the White Sox. Part of the issue is a fresh set of eyes and a new set of ideas is desperately needed.

As far as the game is concerned all I can say is...James Shields. Sigh.

Nice win. Anderson drew another walk. I'll take it. Progress!

I can't believe we actually have a better record than KC when KC has owned us this year. It just shows you how bad the Royals are when they are four under .500 despite being five over .500 against the Sox. Crazy.
