BREAKING: Mark Grudzielanek will be the Triple-A Charlotte manager. #WhiteSox

Yay, ex-Cubs!

Does he actually have any managerial experience?

That's a pretty random hiring. I like it.

He was definitely regarded as a future manager as a player. I actually really like this hire. Surprised its for AAA though. Sox brass must really love his leadership.

I feel like he was a smart player who, as a comment above pointed out, regarded as future manager. Hopefully it pays off.

Here's an interesting thing. Julio Vinas was the manager at AAA last year, and he's been talked about as a rising star in the organization. I wonder where he's going, inside or out.

Thought about how Tim Anderson was compared to him when I saw this.
