I think it is impossible to predict based on his small stint on the major league roster.

It is worth noting that Flowers hit for a .223 BA with a .289OBP in seven years with the White Sox.

If the Sox have a catcher who can hit .240 and be decent defensively, that would be an upgrade. Can Narvaez do that? Not sure That is one of the big questions and why the Sox signed Soto. But that is not to write this player off yet. He surprised everyone when he came up last year.

.372/.456/.698

38 HR's, 97 RBI's, 11 SB's, 12.3 WAR

Throughout his career, he's always been a guy who can draw walks. I'm going to predict:

.243 avg, .340 obp, 8 homers with plus defense.

I'd be shocked if he hits 8 HR's. Guy only has 7 minor league HR's in over 1500 AB's.

Honestly have no idea. My guess is not pretty.

.201/.260/.310. Maybe 250 ABs.

If he can be a long term answer at C that makes this rebuild far easier. He should get more chances than Avi. Would allow us to push Collins bat to the majors in 2018.

Hopefully he won't be on the team in 2017. He can't hit, field or throw anybody out. He's a bum. Having him as the starting catcher should tell everybody what type of a team the White Sox will have in 2017. I'm real curious to see what the advertising campaign is going to be this year. Maybe it will be "Wait til next year".

Narvaez to me seems like he could develop into a solid backup catcher

He offers no power, but does draw walks and limit strikeouts

With even average defense you can't ask much more from a backup

Now should he be starting? No
