Rules require that he stays with the MLB club for the entire season, or else he gets released and returned to his former organization (Oakland). He's got a decent scouting report but seems to have had some setbacks. I haven't paid close attention to him pitching but if I remember correctly he got lit up at least once this year. Maybe he'll slide to the bullpen when Shields or Rodon gets back instead of being sent back to Oakland.

He's gotten lit up a couple times. Danced a tight rope in the decent outings. Watch today or his next start. The guy gets hit HARD. A lot. It's not going to get better anytime soon. He is nowhere near ML ready and probably never will be anything more than 25th man type. With the decent start, I'd prefer they start someone else as I see no real chance of him being a part of the future. Problem is Danish is about the only realistic option until we get healthy and the passage of time for Lopez. I'd rather watch Jordan Guerrero go out there until Rodon/Sheilds/Lopez are going out there every 5th day.
