Just referring to Q and Gonzalez. Couldn't even tell you what Pelfrey's ERA is. Holland was a wild card all along. I personally thought the pitching has underachieved the last few years (not this one)

We picked up MiGo after him getting cut by the orioles terrible staff. He has been very good for what he was. No more a wild card then Holland.

And if only that fence was extended 5 more feet...this is baseball. Stuff happens. For the most part, our losses have been happening as a direct result of poor starting pitching, which I mean is to be expected when you have a rotation consisting of the pitchers we have.

Yep was very good last year but has been really mediocre this season

Unless you want to blame Cooper for Q....blame Hahn, too.

 

Holland and Pelfrey have been better than expected. The White Sox bullpen thrived actually until this week behind a back four that amazingly included Kahnle, Swarzak and Jennings. Eventually they were due to hit a wall like last year. Overused.

 

Plus the defense has been pretty bad behind them.

I like Collins, just worry he's going to be a .225 or so hitter in the majors. With how much he walks, should be fine but he can be special if he can hit in the 260s

Could be worse....34 of last 35 DBacks' hitters have made outs. A measly walk.

Yah seriously. And none of them were close. Tim is going to need to adjust soon or the rest of the league will catch on, just like they have with Melky and the shoulder high straight fastballs. Either swings through em or pops em up.

It's not like 2006 when you had Contreras, Garcia, Garland, Buerhle, Javy and McCarthy to start the year. The talent has been short, with lots of bad drafts and reclamation projects to fill in holes.
