June 7th game Thread: White Sox@ Tampa Bay Rays

Mike Pelfrey has only allowed 2 earned runs in his last 3 starts. The Tampa Bay pitcher, Jacob Faria will be making his major league debut. Faria had a impressive 2017 win-loss record at AAA. Hopefully that won't be the case at the big league level.

Starting pitchers: Mike Pelfrey (2-4, 3.86) vs. Jacob Faria (no MLB record, 6-1, 3.07 at AAA Durham Bulls)

Sox at Rays, 6:10, CSN: L Garcia cf, Cabrera lf, Abreu 1b, A Garcia rf, Frazier 3b, Davidson dh, Anderson ss, Smith c, Sanchez 2b, Pelfrey p

Pelfrey start? Just lose baby!

Faria is listed as Tampa's # 9 prospect. 58 innings, 84 strikeouts, 2.04 ERA at Durham.

lol, nice throw jackass.

Jose Abreu is one of the smartest situational hitters I've seen. Not nearly the most talented, but man he knows how to drive in runs.

I have seen Abreu smile more this year than I have in his last 2 years he has been here combined.

That was a meatball and Avi nearly whiffed.

He was way more relaxed this spring as well compared to when I saw him his rookie year.

That's a BS call to get Avi.

Ump has a huge Zone

This guy is throwing 93 mph meatballs down the middle. He's going to get rocked 2nd and 3rd time through.

How does a guy in his big league debut get that call?

Leury's dumbass almost sidearmed that one in but he caught himself. What a bad habit to get into.

Feels like we're getting preachy Hawk tonight

Holy s*** is he bad defensively

Anderson's defense is f***ing atrocious and it's getting to the point where it's sickening to watch

We get a run thanks to Abreu but first pitch to first batter by Pelfrey darn bear ties it up. Anderson also shows his inexperience by blowing a fielding play we could have seen the runner out at third base

So damn sloppy

On a pace for about 40 errors...#13.

Umpire have money on Tampa?

You have to be a great pitcher to fool the umpire...
