Doesn't suck at all . Despite all the K's Davidson is hitting better than Frazier. Not sold on him as a better fielder though. Avi with another 2 RBI and Holland stopping his bad starts streak so helped the trade value.

Holland's 5.35 FIP is unlikely to fool any team into thinking he's all that valuable on the trade market. If he continues to eat innings for us that's really all we can ask.

Yep. Even with all the Ks, Davidson has shown enough this year to convince me that he's a useful piece for the Sox - maybe not as an everyday 3B, but certainly as a bench bat.

He definitely looks like he can be a dangerous platoon bench bat (.936 OPS against lefties) that can fill in at 3B, 1B, & DH. Right now I don't expect much more than that, but he's earned a a full-time look until something better presents itself.

 

It's going to be interesting to see how things shake out after the trade deadline. I'd really like to see Davidson, Delmonico, & Willy Garcia all get regular playing time. A rotation between 3B, LF, & DH should allow for that while ensuring alll these guys get some time in the field.

The Konerko game from '03. Frank hit one like 450 and just missed the foul pole earlier in the at bat then launched the walk off shot on pitch #11 from Guardado. God was that an incredible experience being there.
