I think him losing his best friend to gun violence has messed him up quite a bit.

It's difficult for me to believe what we saw last season was a fluke. I think in the long run he'll be fine, but he's definitely going through growing pains right now.

That was a nice play by Engel but that Jason call on the outro was cringe.

 

edit: that said, I'd love to see what Statcast thought the probability of him making that catch was. It had to have been less than 10%.

Statcast said he covered 79 feet, and his first step was in a third of a second.

Crisp, no earned runs outing.

Well, Rodon did only give up 3 runs, and they were from walks. But after what he gave up in the minors and coming up to the majors and not giving up much to the Yankees, I'll take that.

All things considered a good night for Rodon.
