From what I've seen this series, if it is any indication of his normal defense, he sucks defensively. It really is not only annoying, but kind of embarrassing when you have to go and talk to the pitcher every other pitch during a high leverage situation (granted the Yankees are known for doing that kind of thing, but still), just seems like Sanchez isn't good at communicating with the pitchers (which is the most important part of the catcher's job description, in my opinion) or blocking pitches at the plate.
