Swarzak has almost the exact same peripherals as he did for the Yankees last year, only difference being a reversal of his ridiculous HR/FB percentage. Hopefully the Sox see this and roll with some more bad ERA/good peripherals bullpen free agents in the future, it's one of the easiest ways to improve a team.

I was surprised Anderson didn't fumble that grounder. It looked iffy but he fielded it cleanly and if Yolmer would have just concentrated on getting the one out it would have been no problem. Now, do we win? Or does the last place team find a way to lose before a big road crowd?

The way Anderson fielded it is not how you field a baseball to turn a DP

great rebuild game. nice to see from rodon and nice to see from melky and todd.

yikes, missed a meatball.

Wow, I thought Todd got that one.

Jose not getting it done tonight with runner at 3rd.

Melky's up above a league-average line. Maybe they get a lottery ticket for him if they eat some salary.

These are two very bad baseball teams. The A's may actually be worse than the Sox.

I will give Renteria credit. I can't see us blowing this lead. If this was last year with Robin I definitely would be expecting us to lose. The Sox were that dysfunctional with Robin even against horrible teams.

I know.

That's why I said these were two horrific teams. Hard to imagine getting swept by Oakland.

great game for Engel, 1/3 3BB really want to see him and leury in the OF together once he comes back and melky is traded, defense would be supreme.

I like Engel more and more every time I see him play. I would like to see them give him the chance to start every day
