Sucks, his season hit a wall real fast. Hope he heals faster than Leury has.

Wow, this lineup can get worse.

There goes his trade value. Probably for ever.

This team is so ready to tank the rest of 2017

Who gets called up? Willy?

Now imagine a lineup where Melky is traded in next 5 days and Abreu gets a day off while Avi is on the dl.

Damn, I almost forgot Leury existed. Any word on his status?

Knowing this team, they'll do something ridiculous and score like 10 runs that game.

How long has his thumb been injured? Could that explain his recent slump?

Willy is the most likely, but it is worth noting that Rymer Liriano has been pretty hot as of late as well.

It has been a while, so it is a possibility.

If Cordell wasn't hurt, he could have gotten his shot.

I rhought his hitting was affected by that thumb injury. You could see him shaking that hand a lot

Chicago White Sox @whitesox

now

Leury García will begin a rehab assignment today with the Arizona Rookie League White Sox.

I think it might have something to do you with, along with normal regression. I like this move. Let it heal completely, come back, finish his slump and hopefully finish the season strong. This has been an awesome year for Avi, sans the injury/slump.

Didn't think it would actually happen but was hoping someone would trade for Avi. Don't have a whole lot of confidence in him next year. Hopefully he proves me wrong...

Avi will go on the DL. Out 2 weeks. Corresponding move to come

I hope they shut him down the rest of the year. His batting average has plummetted all because of the injury. He's done nothing of late cept see the .345 drop, drop, drop. Sox brass knows what he can do. No reason to play any more this season until he's 100 PERCENT HEALTHY.

Kudos to Avi for a nice season. We'll never know what kinda numbers he might have put up if healthy.

I mean if the thumb gets 100 percent better, fine. If not, shut er down please.

Most importantly, how does this affect the Portillos bet?

Call the bet off. I said I'd buy anybody on here a portillos beef sandwich when I'm home. Fun.

For the record, the White Sox 40 man roster looks like it sits at 35 right now.
