Carson Fulmer makes his MLB starting debut as the 26th roster guy and will return to the minors after the game.

 

Sox will be looking for the sweep after winning game 1 7-6 for their 2nd win in a row.

Best of luck to Fulmer. Kid has gotten very underrated by FS people it seems. Still have hope he overcomes his control issues. Has more than enough stuff to be up here.

Completely agree. His stuff to me plays up there. He is missing with his pitches though which is what has been his issue since he was rushed up last year. Who knows how much that hurt his development in the long run (which I've been on record here saying Sox crippled that).

Yep he's a total afterthought in the rebuild now. If you get any contributions from him as a reliever, you consider it a nice surprise. Let's hope the drafting improves as we go forward.

He doesn't seem to have any command nor any true put away pitch that I am seeing. He is getting to some two strike counts but failure to locate is killing him.

Hopefully they give up on the starting career and start seeing if he can salvage his career as a reliever

Usually when you are one of the worst pitchers in AAA, it's not going to translate well at the majors unfortunately
