Atrocious hands. Just not an infielder IMO

Thoughts on flip flopping he and Leury? Maybe with TA's speed and arm he could be more effective in the outfield, while the Sox gain the benefit of Garcia's superior defense at the most important defensive position on the diamond.

Of course I'm for this. Hopefully Leury finishes season strong, as his average is plummeting quickly.

Question is where do you put him? He has the speed to play left or center, but certainly not the range or of the ball-off-the-bat reading ability.

Outfield is taken for the future anyway. Obviously 2B is covered...if he can't play short he definitely can't do 3rd. Not sure he is the SS on this 2020 team unless he makes some absolutely dramatic changes, which is possible. See Avi. Gonna take a lot of determination, hard off-season work, and willingness to freaking adjust. Which he has not done at all this season.

Why does everyone annoint this guy as a starter. Leury Garcia is a better defensive SS, has shown improvement at the plate, and is still young. Why not give him a shot at being the starting SS? Anderson has earned nothing. Make him earn a spot.

Amen, Bro! My thoughts exactly. I think we've had a nice, sneak preview of what Leury's overall game can be at the Major League level this year, and it's nothing to sneeze at.

Chris Beck...why?

Beck's ERA higher than Holland now

Sox have plenty of non-tender candidates if they want.

What I don't get about Tim Anderson is how he is so damn slow out of the batters box. It really bugs me seeing him get beaten on grounders that somebody with his speed should beat.

Yeah he needs to work on this

Does Holland really belong on an MLB diamond? My gosh. Is he having one of the worst seasons by a starter in baseball history (for a guy the team has not replaced). Hyperbole? I doubt it. I'm talking about guys allowed to get hammered game after game and not replaced during the course of a season.

He makes a mockery of the game of baseball. Geez. Cut the guy already.

Berrios was nasty. Sure do miss the LH presence of Delmonico and Moncada against a guy like that, He was death to righties,

I think Shields had a stretch there last year where he was worse.

Sounds crazy from a Sox fan but I had fun watching Berrios last night. Dude throws some wicked stuff. That slider, nasty!
