Otahnis agent is based in SD.

I don't really get the whole West Coast draw for Japanese players. Theres maybe one break in the season where he would be able to go back home and if he is an All-Star, he wouldn't be able to go home anyway. Is it more for family to visit?

There's also generally larger Japanese populations so it might just be more comfortable or they already have friends or family there.

Same guy who had Castillo to the White Sox and says Stanton is going to the Cardinals is saying Ohtani picked the Mariners.

 

He's almost definitely just banking on the fact that the Mariners are probably gonna sign him so he looks like he had the scoop a week early, but its funny to see him defend his tweet.
