Sox vs Stros game 1

Featured Replies

Last time the Sox played Houston was in August (feels longer...I honestly thought it was like May or June until i looked it up...) and they swept the Stros. Scored some good runs in that series. Hopefully the success against Houston continues. Also always nice to see the Sox back playing at Minute Maid Park as flashbacks tend to happen there

Gio looking to continue his success so far. He's been a pleasant surprise. Also hoping for another good series from TA. So far in Sept he is hitting .429/.438/.619

crap. mixed up the merge. Sorry elrockin

This series will be good for draft pick status. Stros seeking revenge for that sweep.

Nice test for Giolito. That lineup is no joke.

I forgot the Sox swept them earlier. Well, this could be interesting. Hopefully Giolito pitches 7 strong and the bullpen blows it

The centerfield camera angle messes me up everytime I watch these games at Houston

Heads up play by Anderson...embarassing for Astros

Did you guys know Giolitos parents were in show business? Haven't heard this every start

Giolito had no curve once again tonight but found a way to be effective against a great lineup

That Giolito - Gonzalez AB had to have been the longest on record this season, right? Felt like it was a 15min AB.

Hard not to be encouraged by him, even if the peripherals aren't the greatest. Have to imagine the plan is that he is up for good.

That was a hell of a catch by Nicky earlier this inning. I haven't had a chance to watch as much as I like since he's been called up. How has the defense been in left? Horrific? Adequate? Who the hell knows?

As an outfielder, he will make a good DH :)

Lol that Farquhar throw

Haha, I figured as much but figured I'd ask.

Basically he gets hidden for a few days and you think "he can do it" but any legit pressure and he has come up short a lot.

Not a bad game. I'll take this loss.

Haha oh man I'd like a gif of that Hansen swing on Giles

Fine with not bringing Hansen back next year

This Gioloto guy is impressive so far.

And the phillies win
