October 13, 20178 yr Author QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:12 PM) What an idiot. Walks the last two and swings at the first pitch curve ball. Just wow. Too excited for postseason baseball
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 04:22 AM) Can't call him out on that No proof he's tagging him
October 13, 20178 yr Shocker they get benefit of replay. Absolutel disgrace but not a shock after last year
October 13, 20178 yr Maddon could contest a call three weeks after the game ends and it'd get overturned.
October 13, 20178 yr Author QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:25 PM) Those kind of calls are such f***ing horses*** It's bad for baseball. Guys just keep the tag on as long as they can, it doesn't matter who gets there first.
October 13, 20178 yr I’m a fan of replay in general but the “did his foot come a centimeter off the bag” calls are so dumb
October 13, 20178 yr Meh. The outfield cam seemed to show he was out. Whatever- Jose Lobaton is dogs***. For that matter, the entire Nationals team is s***. I haven't lived in Chicago in 20 years, so I'm not at risk of being tormented at work if the Cubs win, and at this point I think the Nationals ought to flop like they do every postseason.
October 13, 20178 yr Everytime I've watched the Cubs they look so terrible.....but the Nationals are playing scared. This isn't a team I'm feeling scared about facing the Dodgers.
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 10:28 PM) I’m a fan of replay in general but the “did his foot come a centimeter off the bag” calls are so dumb You're on the bag or you're not. You can't enforce the rule if being a slight distance off the bag doesn't count. That's what's dumb.
October 13, 20178 yr Why was a slow dude like Lobaton so far off the base anyway? The only way for the Nats to win this game is via the home run. Any baserunner is just a liability at this point.
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:30 PM) Everytime I've watched the Cubs they look so terrible.....but the Nationals are playing scared. This isn't a team I'm feeling scared about facing the Dodgers. The Nats are simply a snake bitten franchise. Highly doubt Dusty is back next year after this debacle of a game.
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:32 PM) Why was a slow dude like Lobaton so far off the base anyway? The only way for the Nats to win this game is via the home run. Any baserunner is just a liability at this point. Rizzo wasn't covering the bag and he wasn't that far off. He got back in time, but his foot came off the bag for half a second. The distance he was off the base was fine but you know the catcher back picks a lot so as soon as the pitch crosses the base you have to get back quickly not sit and watch and then go if he starts to throw.

That's what's dumb. Nah, he beat the throw, who cares if his foot comes off the bag a minuscule amount? Enforcing that is just asking for guys to sprain fingers/wrists/ankles/whatever.
