October 13, 20178 yr Davis is running on fumes and the Nats can't even take advantadge. They deserve to lose.
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:38 PM) Turner should have been walked. Dumbass swing at the first pitch Werth should've walked but he swung at ball 3 and 4. And now Harper swings at ball 1. Edited October 13, 20178 yr by Dam8610
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:40 PM) Davis is running on fumes and the Nats can't even take advantadge. They deserve to lose. The National League collectively is terrible. The Nationals have choked slightly more than the Cubs. It's embarrassing watching this series. I really hope the Dodgers avoid playing scared like the Nationals have here. How many hangers have the Nationals missed? Its so unbelievable
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Oct 13, 2017 -> 05:42 AM) Every move Maddon makes seems to turn out golden it seems. Have you watched game 2 and 4
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:44 PM) Nats could be given 6 outs this inning and it wouldn't matter. Exactly. That pickoff sealed their fate
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:44 PM) Have you watched game 2 and 4 Yep. But game 5 is only one that matters now.
October 13, 20178 yr Sit down Harper. Dude had two chances to be a hero this game and blew it. Davis with a 7 out save and the dude pitched yesterday. Cubs got lady luck on their side and everything they do appears to be golden.
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:46 PM) Davis threw like 3 pitches in the strike zone that inning. Great job Nats. I don't understand how these players can't comprehend that. Especially after how bad he looked in the 8th.
October 13, 20178 yr QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 12, 2017 -> 11:43 PM) The National League collectively is terrible. The Nationals have choked slightly more than the Cubs. It's embarrassing watching this series. I really hope the Dodgers avoid playing scared like the Nationals have here. How many hangers have the Nationals missed? Its so unbelievable Cubs handled the Dodgers fairly easily last year. The Cubs won't be scared of the Dodgers that much is certain.
October 13, 20178 yr Well the Dodgers have been given a gift. No excuses to not win the next series, Cubs have a spent pen and will have to start either Lackey or a pitcher on short rest for Games 1 and 2.
October 13, 20178 yr Its real simple. Catch the ball. Watching catchers who cant block. Watching people throw the ball around. The trailing runner get picked. This is a fundamentally dumb team. It was unwatchable at times. A mediocre defensive team wins this game. Between this and watching the Indians game last night. People need more defensive work.

October 13, 20178 yr quite simply one of the luckiest games I’ve ever seen a team win. Turner making a bad out at home in the first. Wieters doesn’t block a ball in the dirt that leads to a run. 0 hard hit balls in the inning off of scherzer. A failed/incorrect drop third strike call. A catchers interference. Another wild pitch letting in a run. Werth flat missing a fly ball. Multiple should have been passed balls that were lucky enough to hit the ump and stay nearby. An iffy pickoff replay on a call that is driving many baseball fans bonkers
October 13, 20178 yr That was an extremely poorly played game by the Nats. They quite literally handed the Cubs that game and they still barely won it.

No excuses to not win the next series, Cubs have a spent pen and will have to start either Lackey or a pitcher on short rest for Games 1 and 2. That is all true, but does it matter? Cubs may just concede game one against Kershaw and go for the split with Lester on the bump for game 2.
