He's awesome doing basketball, for example, because the action moves a lot faster. I want to like him and I do when he's not trying to make inside jokes the entire time. The end of this top of the third has been so much better. I know he knows baseball and is into advanced stats and analytics. Wouldn't mind hearing more.

1. Yes -- I, too, have dislike the commentary from the announcers. Not strong-dislike, but more like wtf are they even talking about, why. Talk to me about baseball more!

I think on his best day being invisible on defense is probably as good as it gets. The rest of the time it's normally a problem. Which last year in DRS he technically was. The rest of his career your giving up runs by having him out there.

Yeah that's been a more recent development for Giolito. Gavin's change had some moments but he didn't trust it.
