April 6, 20188 yr http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20180406 All games start around 6pm CST.
April 6, 20188 yr Rutherford has a double, yay, xb hit..also, looks like Booker and Call will split time early. Adolfo has a walk and single. Charlotte not exactly motivating to look up unless Kopech is in action. Watching Cedeno, Ross, Gomez, Rondon fight for pen spots, I guess. Edited April 6, 20188 yr by caulfield12
April 7, 20188 yr Ah yeah, these are the Sox minor league results I am used to. Despite a wealth of talent, every level is losing, and either getting shut out or scoring one run. This feels like home.
April 7, 20188 yr QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 07:15 PM) It's in the third inning of the games and every affiliate won last night... Never let the truth get in the way of a good story
April 7, 20188 yr QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 07:15 PM) It's in the third inning of the games and every affiliate won last night... lol. Party pooper or the opposite of that.
April 7, 20188 yr QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 12:15 AM) It's in the third inning of the games and every affiliate won last night... 3-1 last night, someone lost late, W-S I think
April 7, 20188 yr WS lost late. I'm mostly joking, its a new season, some teams favor development over results in the minors, especially at the lower levels, best players on the DL, etc. They do lose a lot though.
April 7, 20188 yr Rutherford had based loaded opportunity but Kd... The top five in that lineup is fun to follow at least. Somehow they’ve managed 5-6 caught stealings in the early going this year already.
April 7, 20188 yr Off topic but imagine this season is do or die for Michalczewski, Hawkins, Barnum, and Alvarez
April 7, 20188 yr Robbie Ross Jr just got annihilated to the tune of 4 ER in 0.0 innings of work. Couldn't get an out. Uh, guess he isn't coming up any time soon.
April 7, 20188 yr Also gonna get out in front with this one: Looks like this Danish... is toast YAAAH
April 7, 20188 yr QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 06:43 PM) Off topic but imagine this season is do or die for Michalczewski, Hawkins, Barnum, and Alvarez Alvarez would have to get past Anderson, Leury, Saladino, Sanchez, Cordell and two more Charlotte middle infielders just to be the last guy on the bench. That said, if he can hit for enough power, he has a shot at the Saladino spot, pr, etc. Adolfo 2/2 with a walk. Edited April 7, 20188 yr by caulfield12
April 7, 20188 yr QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 07:56 PM) Alvarez would have to get past Anderson, Leury, Saladino, Sanchez, Cordell and two more Charlotte middle infielders just to be the last guy on the bench. That said, if he can hit for enough power, he has a shot at the Saladino spot, pr, etc. Adolfo 2/2 with a walk. 3/3 with a 2B, a walk, and 2 RBI. 6 run 7th for W-S has them on top 6-3 and Flores in line for the W.
April 7, 20188 yr Yrizzari with a homer and Blackman now has 2 homers in two games. Actually pretty decent night for hitters outside Cordell. There were nights just 2 years ago where you struggled to find any decent prospect with a good game.
April 7, 20188 yr Author Yrizarri & Forbes are both huge long-shots to amount to anything of significance, but at least they are age appropriate and more interesting than most of the positional guys we use to fill out rosters.
April 7, 20188 yr Author Surprised that neither Solorzano or Johnson is in the Kannapolis rotation (based on their relief appearances tonight). Who else down there would be in the rotation over those two?
April 7, 20188 yr QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 08:39 PM) Surprised that neither Solorzano or Johnson is in the Kannapolis rotation (based on their relief appearances tonight). Who else down there would be in the rotation over those two? Tyler Johnson? He’s in the pen. I think hes fast tracked as a reliever.
April 7, 20188 yr Author QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 6, 2018 -> 08:50 PM) Tyler Johnson? He’s in the pen. I think hes fast tracked as a reliever. They used him as a starter last year. Figured they’d stretch him and give him the innings like they have with other relief prospects like Nate Jones, Petricka, etc.
April 7, 20188 yr I think they talked about it but his BR page is showing just 25 innings in 22 games last year.
April 7, 20188 yr Honestly don't remember anything about Tate Blackman, but he hit 5 HR in 49 games last year in Rookie ball. He has 2 HR in 2 games this year in A-ball. Nice progression, kid.
April 7, 20188 yr QUOTE (MnSoxFan @ Apr 7, 2018 -> 09:08 AM) Micah Johnson in CF for Durham. Jason Coats on them too
