April 26, 20187 yr I've been saying it a long time and not sure why isn't it happening. Free. Carlos. Perez. Looks like he's finally developing some game power too.

They have three catchers in Kanny for some reason or another. Having watched them, my feeling is that Perez should probably move up to W-S. Mercedes is just a beer league softball player there anyway. Zavala should maybe go to AAA sometime in May or June, send Yermin up to be Collins' backup/platoon in AA, Nolan and Perez pair off in Winston-Salem. Allows Skoug and Hickman to play more, and they need more development too.

Very much looking forward to seeing him as a September Call-up.

Out of everyone in the minors, Perez might be the most likely to stay at catcher, so I'm in favor of giving him more PT. Edited April 26, 20187 yr by thxfrthmmrs
April 26, 20187 yr Rutherford 2/2, RBI, .361 Basabe at 338, Adolfo at 329, Sheets at 290 Call and Fisher (AA) not exactly distinguishing themselves from the crowd.
April 27, 20187 yr Can’t complain about Dunning’s line so far. Pitched over bad defense last inning, and his pitch count is still ok -78 after 5 inn.

April 27, 20187 yr Big bats in Birmingham getting it done tonight: Zavala 1-2, HR, BB Jimenez 2-4, Double, RBi Collins 1-3, with a run and K Rose huge night 3-4, 4 RBI, 2 HR
April 27, 20187 yr Zavala is the real fucking deal with the bat. If he can stick at catcher, we may have something special here.

He did play a lot of 1B this year, but he also told me recently he played only catcher in Spring Training, and now in Kanny he's mixing it up. He doesn't know what their plan is with that, he's just going with it.
