That's a nice read by Engel.  That had a nasty sidespin to it.

  • The sooner people allow themselves not to worry about players that will have no impact on the roster in two years, the easier this will be for them. I would much rather Lopez pitch great and they lose

  • stop....just for once stop.

Maybe it's because Bummer has already allowed 11 inherited runners to score and shouldn't even be on a big league roster. If so, I applaud his thinking. Just read where the Sox 3-15 start at home

Hey we can field :P

When this team goes up by four that is pretty much money in the bank.

Moncada?

Oh yes we can field !

Not sure if you saw yesterday's game but...

54 pitches through 5 for ReyLo.  That is muy bueno.

The more you see Lopez pitch the more you have to like what you see

As Hawk always said, rule #1 is catch the ball. Defense is a pitcher's best friend and it wins ballgames. Great inning there. Let's hope Lopez can continue to dominate...he was a little more vulnerable that inning, and his downfall has always been he starts to become very vulnerable around the 5th and 6th innings. His low pitch count is a really good sign though.

Ugh, both of those balls were crushed.

'ere you are see how far you can hit this one <_<

You said it. Giving up the long ball now

Omar Vizquel is apparently on the phone live with the TV broadcast.

That was about 2 feet from being a tie ballgame.

Yes he was , what is his job now ?

Just now, Tony said:

He's the manager of the Dash.

Thanks

Palka goes the other way on a ball just off the outer half.  If he can do that regularly, that would be huge for his career.

Palka so far has been what I thought Nicky would be. I'll say im impressed with him so far.

Omar comped Adolfo to Manny Ramirez, hopefully without the juice.

Palka looks good but he hasn't taken a walk yet.

Lopez with a very nice recovery and overall outing

Very nice bounceback inning for Lopez.  He is still under 100 pitches through 7.

Rey is going back out for the 8th inning, at least to start.
