This is truly unwatchable baseball.

The young pitching progress is very scary right now

So on the first pitch Beck ever saw as a major league hitter, Ricky had a suicide squeeze on. What could possibly go wrong?

    Should improve his walk rate.

  • Lopez game by game velocity this year. Clear "tick tock" pattern and we're unfortunately on a "tock" day

Getting to the point this isn't even worth watching anymore

Lopez has nothing tonight

Eep.

"There hasn't been a cheapie in the bunch" says Steve, despite the fact they have mostly been cheapies

Not this inning. They could easily have 3 homers in 2 innings.

Remember when someone suggested Lopez for ASG this morning?  Nope

That Bell double this inning was hit 92mph. This is the only ballpark in MLB where it's a hit

You gotta be shitting me putting that trio in the outfield.

It's probably a home run at some places. Was literally a foot from a homer.

Lopez has to be tipping his pitcher somehow. Pitt is swinging the bat like they know what's coming.

Look at all these non-cheapies

Lopez is missing 0 bats. Definitely scary how little he's K'ing people.

Was absolutely thinking that on the slider. They aren't even flinching.

My biggest concern is the of strikeouts from Lopez.  He’s actually throwing strikes tonight, just can’t put away any batters.

Needs to elevate fastball with 2 strikes

Lopez has a nice little cut up there

Well, the long-debated Lopez "regression to mean" is taking place tonight.

Now what?

Just tune out except for Moncada at-bats I guess.

Meanwhile, Williams has a lower average velocity than Giolito but can't do anything with him.

Yep. Looks to me Lopez is dropping his arm angle a touch on the slider and cutter.

YoYo just missed it

Lopez often gets on these runs where he becomes a perfect representation of the old command vs. control distinction. Tonight he's been throwing a lot of strikes but he's really not spotting it. It's hard to generate swings and misses if you're pretty much just aiming for the middle of the zone and generally not missing by much.

Funny-boned him

Stoney hating on Lopez

Well that went horrible for Lopez.  Give me Singer in the draft for more depth.

Renteria is a fucking idiot
