  • The thing that is so maddening about Giolito is it seems like every start is the first time he's ever been in his human body.

  • Jose Abreu
    Jose Abreu

I figured he wouldn't play given the early start if his back was still stiff last night

  • I live in the Detroit area. About a 10-15 minute drive, to be exact. lol The big drive would be going to the south side of Chicago to see this team.

How could Omar not swing on a fast ball down the middle?

His major offensive weapon is a walk. The guy has some girth to him. You would think he could hit a ball harder than a 105 lb. 5th grader.

Just got in from cutting the grass and see I can save myself the frustration of watching this dumpster fire...

For our sake, I hope it's Yolmer

White Sox pitching 101 pitches through 3 innings.

How strange would it be if Covey turned out to be what Gio was supposed to be ?

I'd take that deal.  Covey looked legit last night.  That fastball at 93-96 was diving all over.

I'll be honest, last inning I was wondering what the rotation could be next year. Was thinking hopefully Rodon/Lopez/Kopech/FA signing/?  For the ?, my first thought was Covey.

If Covey continues pitching like that hard to not see him sticking in the rotation.

Stephens should be in the mix

Hopefully Rodon/Kopech/Lopez/Stephens/ maybe Covey?

Insult to injury as MLBN switches over to the Chisox broadcast with the score 9-0 Orioles

the only thing i like about engel are those slick majestic cleats he's wearing.

Rondon crushing

haha, what a DH!  You've been Wally Pipped, Matt.

I think it's obvious Sox are going to have to spend money on an better than average starting pitcher this offseason.

Why?  Rodon, Lopez, & Kopech are locks for next year.  You pretty much have to give a Giolito a shot next year unless you want to DFA him.  And I think it would be crazy to sign a starter and block Jordan Stephens.  After those five, you’ll have Hansen & Dunning waiting in the wings at AAA plus wild cards in Fulmer and maybe even Covey.  Signing a starter next year makes no sense.

Gio and Fulmer are 2 of the latest examples of never believe what you see in September.

The worst dh is the best dh

I think they are going to have to spend pretty big on two starters if they are serious about competing in 2020. Most of the Sox young arms have been over-hyped big time it appears.

Lol...what?  Because one them (currently) looks like a bust?  Talk about a hot fucking take.

Rondon is only 24. I thought he was for sure like 30

Just awful.  How fucking basic is COVERING 1ST BASE AS A PITCHER.
