I was wondering about that.

I'm writing off any high schooler. Maybe a blaze alexander or someone in round 4. But I doubt it.

Good scoop.

That's a plus name. Not 80 grade, but plus.

If they can round off the first ten rounds of the draft off with Bartnicki or Garrett McDaniels. That would would be awesome. So far really like the approach, really like the prep picks even though they're incredibly raw. I'm a fan of the Perez pick as well if we can get another Fry or Bummer that'd be great value for an 8th round pick.

Interesting Montas de Oca hasn't been drafted. I wonder how much over 100k he'll get (if any)

The minor league system needs an infusion of young talent that won't be ready until the middle to end of the current contention window, so that hopefully, they can extend that contention window.

Weren't we all upset that the team couldn't and didn't offer him $250K+?

Houston just drafted Austin Hansen. Brother of Alec?

He has been chronically injured and has had a tough time throwing strikes coming back from all of his injuries.  Still throws hard, but a much bigger wildcard than he was in HS even with the TJ.

He had a good year and I figured as a senior he would round out a top ten with signability. Him not being drafted yet makes me think he's asking too much.

As much as I love my alma mater, going with the Sox training staff would have been wiser.

He had a tough go of it, but he's a senior now. Not much to lose.

I was wondering that, but they never mentioned it and he didn't look too similar.

This is a pretty good rule of thumb for pitchers drafted by the White Sox.

In the 9th RD, the White Sox select C Gunnar Troutwine, Wichita St.

Pipkin, Dominic

^ Sounds like the bureaucratic boss in a british spy novel

In the 9th round the White Sox select Gunnar Troutwine a college senior catcher from Wichita St.

C Gunnar Troutwine from Wichita State. They must've really scouted Bohm heavily, that's the second Wichita State player they've taken. I did watch some highlights of Wichita State in the leadup to the draft, his name came up a lot for crucial hits and XBHs.

Sox finally take a catcher. Was wondering when they were finally going to pop one. I was expecting a HS catcher. We also took their #1 SP too.

These are just generated names at this point.

Gunnar Troutwine is our first pick without a BA500 profile.

High School? What is this high school you speak of.

Hostetler’s scouting sweetspot from time with Braves...GA.

Montas de Oca to the Mets ...

The...perfect landing spot for a ...oft-injured pitcher.

Sox like 'em some Shockers.

Didn't the Sox draft this Bryce guy a few years ago?
