June 6, 20187 yr The Sox will actually be fielding a decent pitcher more often than not starting soon! You can put it on the board, yes! Rodon Shields Lopez Covey Giolito not bad. Should make most of the games a helluva lot more watchable.

With Shields and Covey essentially re-inventing themselves, and with how the offense has been lately, yeah the Sox might actually win more games than not soon. Or atleast, they might make the games competitive haha.

June 6, 20187 yr Hopefully will look back at May 2018 as the rock bottom of the rebuild watchability wise.

June 7, 20187 yr I like these moves. Bummer is better than Beck, but they have enough lefties for now. Cedeno needed to come up so he can be flipped, if possible. He barely pitched in 2017, but was good in 2015 and 2016. I love ya Trayce, but Palka needs to play every day even though the defense will take a big hit. I thought Santiago's best work over his years with the Sox was as a short-inning reliever. I'm sure he'll be long relief, due to need.
June 7, 20187 yr As often as the Sox have needed to use the pen I'm going to guess Beck gets sent down. Having two long relievers in Santiago/Volstad makes alot of sense.

June 7, 20187 yr what's the likelihood that Rodon reinjures himself? seems like hes been hurt more often than not

Still, kind of unfair the Sox have to face Berrios and Sale in back-to-back games. Looks like Rodon will be slated to go on Saturday vs. Price. Friday is Covey and Sunday is Lopez vs Porcello, while Saturday is still TBD for our Sox. If our pitchers' recent track records stay consistent and the defense can hold its own, we may be looking at a pretty decent series vs the best team in the league. Edited June 7, 20187 yr by Scoots
