I'll take the team sucking but looking like (so far in the very early going) we might have a diamond in the rough batting 3rd and doing very well as a 17 year old (Rodriguez) than the team being good and noone of any significance looking the part anyday.

June 12, 20187 yr This is nitpicky but it's less that we were restricted in signing good players and more that our limbo with Robert prevented us from establishing contracts at all. On J2 signing day, we signed 2 players total. I forgot which team (probably padres), but a team over the limit still signed dozens of players under 300k. Our uncertainty with Robert prevented them from being able to negotiate and basically resulted in a lost year. Most of those guys were signed in february/march.

Don’t look too far into it, if they still suck after a couple years in the states then start worrying. Some of the DSL players are 16 playing against 21/22 year olds who are just org filler. Their stats mean very little, they’re just getting reps and physically maturing down there until they’re ready to come stateside. The only exception is when someone is very young and still crushes it

June 12, 20187 yr Man this start by Jose Rodriguez in DSL may be worth paying attention to. That's quite a few xbh. Today a two run single. If he keeps hitting for power that will be interesting.
