Sox and Jays Gamethread

Featured Replies

Gio pitching, see if he can continue is solid run of pitching vs a lineup that scored 10 runs night before. After a great run of SP from the Sox, last few games have been ones to forget. Offense has been pretty solid though. All those games would've been won with at least decent pitching.

Game is at 6 central, unlike the 4:00 start that the soxtalk homepage says.

  • Moncada ruins the fun.

  • Yoan looks like he's about to go into a slump again.  Pulling off the ball badly, causing him to foul off hittable pitches.  So far, the "first wave" of the rebuild has been disappointing.

Moncada might set the record for Ks in a season. 141 and it isn't August. Woof.

I would advise against it

2 batters, 2 hits.  Cooper always has these guys ready to go.

That was a cheapie. Wrong positioning for that one.

No. Those were not hit hard at all and cheap hits. Bad BABIP luck. Every ball he's allowed in play has been weak contact. They hit em where they ain't.

Nice play Timmy.

The pitch to Gurriel was a high changeup. Not sure why they keep throwing fastballs to Granderson as well.  Biggest issue Giolito has is command on slider/curve is so awful, the hitters aren't even tempted to swing.

How on earth do you not call that a strike.  Sigh.

This ump sucks big time. Blown two calls badly already

Looks like another blowout in the making.

At least we get to see Yolmer bat 2nd and Timmy 9th

Can't pitch in the majors with no breaking pitches and a meatball fastball. Some cheap hits but everything is up in the zone.

Looks like the opposition will hit double digits for the 4th game with n a row!

Giolito getting nickel and dimed with singles. Nothing hit hard, just finding holes.

Why can’t the a White Sox develop young hitters like we see on other teams!

Again, that's what happens when you don't miss bats
