  • How is this Cooper's fault? The weather, the velocity drop and missed locations clearly make this KW's fault. My gawd Sox fans how can you not see this?

  • Assuming the forecast holds, the Sox would be idiots to even send him out to start. But that's what I said last time against Boston and they still did it.

  • Kopech vs. Otani would be an interesting match up.

how we looking?

Wow

110mph exit velocity, wow.

Second time facing a team, can't keep throwing fastball after fastball.

That ball was hit to fuckin’ Calumet City

The strategy against Kopech is to not even think about the possibility of an offspeed pitch until he fools you several times.

Just now, Tony said:

TV showed Kopech shaking his head a few different times during his warm up toss.

First batter everything was 94 and then a mammoth HR...

Hit 96

That had huge run. It went from the middle of the plate to the right batters box.

He throw nothing straight.

Settled in nicely

Now hear this: Kopech gives up a homer to the first batter he faces. He must be a bust

candy man isn't a bad hitter, tigers did really well in that trade with the cubs.  the guy they sent over, the reliever, was absolutely brutal for the cubs down the stretch and candy man looks like a solid 2-3 WAR starter in his prime.

Not even going to wait for an ERA above 2 to call it?

Kopech gave up a HR ... told y'all he was a reliever.

I think he was being sarcastic of others who rush to judgment on rookies.

I thought it was obvious by the ridiculous threshold that I was also being sarcastic.

looks to have settled in alright.

It  makes sense.  First couple starts almost all fastballs first time thru the lineup.  With Tigers seeing him recently he has had to go breaking ball earlier.

Rainmaker

Kopech must really hate Chicago weather
