Hundley, Vogt, Duda ... I want none of those guys near the White Sox roster. Let's sign difference makers.

Exactly. They did not want to say torn hamstring.

It was a gastroc not a hamstring. both of which are pretty serious but the gastroc can turn into an Achilles tendon rupture down the road if not treated properly

If his talent and love is football I get it but you can make money in baseball without the brain damage. Sounds like in his case it would take a few years to get there. I think we already did the football thingy in Soxorg.

Sergio Romo to Marlins happened yesterday on 1 year deal. Probably going to flip him for someone at deadline if he performs well

Minor Signings in last 24 hours:

- Robbie Grossman to A's

- John Axford to Blue Jays

- Xavier Cedeno to the Cubs

- Jake Diekman to the Royals

Caleb Joseph signed with the D-Backs.

Steroids keep you out of the Hall of Fame, but they still get you paid!

That is a lot of money to give someone that could have had inflated numbers w/ roids

These twins contracts are kind of head scratchers to me....

Cost certainty going forward. I'm sure they're trying to lock up Barrios and Rosario as well.

Actually, just looked at Kepler's numbers. They probably could have waited another year to see how he does this year.

If you can get a guy who you have belief in to sign one of these, you do it every single time.  The cost savings at the end of it if a guy pans out is HUGE. If it doesn't, the numbers being talked about here aren't the backbreakers that failed free agents can be.

I doubt Rosario would be interested in a long term deal.  He's going to get paid in FA if he keeps pace of a his last couple seasons.

Polanco and Kepler would get them a better haul in trades as well if signed long term. Basically like we did with Sale, Eaton and Quintana.

Kepler would be their equivalent of Anderson in terms of promise vs. performance.

Berrios and Romero the much tougher signs at this point.

Polanco is a head scratcher.

They should have waited another year for both of these guys

The price goes up a lot with each successive year.  That's why you do this early.

That Polanco one is really cheap.
