Definitely wouldn't impact Machado.  Probably amps up their pursuit if him more.

 

If Sanchez is being discussed the return would have to be someone like Haniger, or equally good. Or, a SP.

At first I thought it was a whole lot of money for someone who is aging and slowing down, then I saw the OPS.

Not a terrible deal. Cutch is still a solid player, just not elite like he used to be. Still likely has a few productive seasons left in the tank.

IMO it's an overpay. Fangraphs predicted 2/26. Crowdsource predicted 3/42, I wouldn't have gone above that.

Yeah this seems like a steal to be honest. Hes still pretty good and should hold up with how much he walks.

Yah, I disagree.  2/$26 would have been an insane value.

I bought a Pirates hat because of ol Cutch. He's one of my favorite players. I categorically refuse to wear a Phillies hat.

Idk I think the Phillies will end up regretting the 3rd year...but they have stupid $ to throw around so they probably don’t even care about that
