Surprised at all?

Nope. There's been some individual surprises, but the team is basically what most of us expected.

I  think we have plenty of positives to take away from early play this year as relates to the rebuild.  Performance of Moncada, Anderson, McCann, Abreu, Lopez, Giolito, Colome, Herrera & Banuelos have been at or above expectation.  The disappointments so far are Jimenez & Rondon and I'm not overly worried about them.  When Cease, Kopech, Madrigal & Robert get here this thing will pull together.  Still have Adolfo, Basabe, Rutherford and others along with this years 1st rounder.  Another few pitchers and we're read to go.

Assuming you're referring to Rodon, as Rondon's sample size is not nearly enough to draw any conclusions.

If the Sox can beat Sale today there were a few who predicted 15-15 after 1st 30 dames. Also  i think there was at least 1 who predicted 14-16

However we formed out predictions...we didn't see Anderson, McCann & Moncada being this good.  Those with high team expectations thought Jimenez would come up and immediately rake.  I believe we will continue improvement throughout the year.

Better luck next time

I've been pleasantly surprised at how well some of the hitters have hit out of the gate. I'm more then happy to be wrong.
