I might be completely jumping the gun here but Banuelos has a chance to be our version of Arrieta. Not as good at his peak, but basically getting a mid rotation starter out of a 28 year old reclamation project

I'd be thrilled if he's a solid 5th starter.  Need depth in the rotation.

I'm not doing that because of the Cubs per se it is more about the age of the pitcher than the fact that he played for the Cubs

His stuff is fine. It's not great or "good." Slider doesnt have a ton of depth but has some late bite. Fastball is straight and not very hard or heavy. Curveball is a nice change of pace but it's not great by any means. A show me pitch kind of.
