I do enjoy Alonso's interviews. Seems like he cares. He's also big. If I were an opponent I wouldn't want him charging the mound. Way to go Alonso. I enjoyed the walk off. We haven't had a ton of walk off wins during the tank years. This year we've had two just recently.

I think that's the plan...at least have him for next year with the option automatically kicking in.

Look at it this way. Alonso came through to save the day/the split. He still came up with a big hit despite the dumbass bunt attempt by Ricky. 

Alonso could have hit a liner right into the shift. Instead he pokes a beauty to left for the W.
