His final pitch the inning before was 96 mph.

He lost his command a little bit and was leaving his changeup up quite a bit. ?‍♂️

He's out.  Replay that shit.

Giolito would be quite the late career masterpiece for that bum cooper

Quickest review I've ever seen

Lol wat

That was the quickest review ever.

Frye threw up no protest so I assumed he ddint touch.

Plus there is a non zero change of a mental setback if he had struggled.  Just fucking leave well enough well enough.

I was about to say that it looked like he got the bag.

absolutely zero reason to bring him back out but if you don't mind that how about the 3rd inning bunt?  How about the constant bunting?  How about batting a guy 2ND THAT NEEDS A PH?

Be critical of other short comings, sure, but LUCAS GIOLITO is NOT a 14 year old kid. Enough with this... let's let Gio leave on a high note. If the guy bounce back from giving up a base runner in the 8th inning of a 2-0 game then he is a loser.

105 pitches is not a crazy amount of pitches by any mean. Gio needs to learn to keep his delivery with some fatigue as well. Enough babying the guy.

It was 105 pitches, not 150, and there was nothing wrong with letting him pitch to a batter in the 8th.

Hanger

I immediately yelled for the review, I thought it was pretty obvious

Eh, not so much.  He always had the pedigree.

Oh boy.

Cordell way too shallow

Giolito is the most emotional dugout pitcher since Carlos Zambrano

Mental setback. My lord. He's a professional baseball player. If he can't handle an inkling of failure then he's done.

Bullpen in to stick the middle finger to Gio

Do we see what’s about to happen here now that our bullpen is in

Just walk him

Fry ... one big LOL (get him out of there).

Now the time to bring in colome

LOL

Cooper has completely revamped his delivery from a clearly broken delivery at the end of his time with the Nats.

This place loves to blame the coaches for everything that goes wrong and every mistake made, but they won't even give credit for a guy who has been rebuilt from scratch.

I don't think Renteria handled that poorly.  He let him get one out in the inning and Gio was at 105 pitches.  Does a Sox win even matter anyways?  LOL.  I care more that Gio was great.  A loss helped the draft pick.

Damn should have brought the pen in earlier.
