James McCann in 2017 was a fine everyday catcher. Not the 6 WAR player he is imitating tight now, but still a valuable asset.

If he's just somewhere in between those two points in his career. That would be nice.

One of the more interesting pitching changes of the season...sure he also wants the lefty for Moncada and Alonso despite his lighting up another lhp earlier in the game.

Would like to see Moncada light up another one here.

Give us some breathing room Yoan

Just an RBI single would do the job as well.

That dude sitting on the 2nd row behind HP.... sucks to be sitting behind him.

Ugh...

Moncada right on that and missed it

That whole ordeal pulling out iPad was interesting

Damn fooled him.

how do you take that pitch, wow.

Yoan was guessing and he guessed wrong.

Took it right down the pipe.

Perfect pitch, everyone looking fastball but Taylor and Vasquez.

boston announcers were talking about how moncada doesn't take called strikes 3's anymore.

He was clearly looking for something else.

Yoan would have been less fooled by that pitch if he had been thrown a live hand grenade.

Yeah, I have that broadcast too (MLB Network) and I was laughing when he took that for an obvious strike three.

even if you're looking FB, you have to be able to fight off a breaking pitch right down the heart of the plate.  Just fight it off.

You sit on a fastball and if he gets a breaking ball over you grab some bench. Have you guys never listened to Hawk saying that 10000 times?

“Can o’ corn, chopper-two-hopper, Yaz, Catfish Hunter, TWTW, you couldn’t pull a greased tee outta my behind with a pair of pliers, sacks packed with seamen.”

I know it’s in there somewhere.

That walk now gives me a horrible feeling about this game.

You know damn well Herrera is not stranding that runner.

Ugh Bummer can’t walk him there. Really wish they kept him in to get the DP instead of setting up an easy steal situation

Yeah, we're in trouble.

I think Herrera comes through here and holds them down
