How many offensive players will still be in the majors in two years on this current roster?  I'm saying Garcia, Abreu, Yoan and McCann as the only sure things.

sounds about right.

I’m going to bid $1000 to talk with Rick Hahn. If I like his answers I’ll put down another $1000. It’s not the most guaranteed money, but I think it’s the best offer.

  • This is why I don't want Abreu resigned. Ricky will continue to bat him 3rd (and play 1B) when there will be better options in house down the line.

  • I absolutely get that, but why are we giving those guys at bats?  No reason Collins isn't getting at bats at DH and Mendick playing 2nd base.  This lineup looks like a first year rebuilding team, not

what's he gonna do with adam engel?  tell him to take a tennis racket up there?

sure he has nothing to work with, with this lineup...but the team's inability to take a walk yet striking out at an insane rate the last few years isn't a ringing endorsement of his teachings.

Nice play Yoan.

if any of them had shown an ability to take a walk in the minors I'd agree but it's not like he has any clay to work with.

Who is this guy wearing Lopez's uniform.  Damn...he's good.

The thing is the potential is always there.  Like most of us agree he just needs to be consistent.

He's thrown 12 balls and 4 of them are this inning.  And a dribbler gets through, damnit.

Hate giving up hits like that.

Not Steverson's fault

I don't get the Sox positioning.  Rojas hits the ball to RF 1/3 of the time, yet Yolmer is playing him up the middle.  Did they really think he was going to pull a 98 mph fastball?

his stuff is so good tonight the hard contact has been minimal to say the least.  most of their hits have been dribblers and ducksnorts.

Your young pitcher is throwing his best game of the year, now score some damn runs

Petty good stuff for next years probable 5th starter.

Really showing that "elite" scouting in shifting.

Im just going to go in the minor leagues game thread and pretend that's our offense for the night.

Reynaldo Lopez is an enigma.

Gallen living up to the thread title.

Quality at bats the last two nights (and nearly every game since the ASB)

One hit after 6 innings.  Ugly!
