July 28, 20196 yr Best wishes to him as human being but I am officially joining the ranks of others now truly angry at mgmt for having run him out so many times.
July 28, 20196 yr Bring back James Shields.....it would be a huge improvement. Heck, I think Edwin Jackson is available as well.

He had better stuff than Scott Carroll (remember the big issue with getting him to enough MLB appearances to qualify for a pension)...and he triumphed over his diabetes problems and even managed to look like a legitimate starter for about 6-8 weeks the other year...but he HAS to go to the bullpen and focus on his 2 seam sinker and perfecting one other pitch to go with it. No more overthinking and trying to utilize 3-5 different pitches in his repertoire, but "rock and fire" like our Little League coaches or parents from the stands would always shout encouragingly. Jackson signed with the Tigers last week. And you can bet money that by remaining in the organization at some point he'll be back up to embarrass himself and the team.

July 29, 20196 yr He was the bad Phil Humber. The good Phil Humber was Buehrle-esque from the right side.
