If Leury is the opening day starter in RF next year something has gone terribly wrong

Completely agree as I'm not a fan of his (I actually want him gone but that's another subject), but you know it's going to happen. Eloy and Robert are in the other 2 spots.

  • Obviously not a good series.  The starts by Lopez, Gio and Cease are the good to take away from an otherwise awful series.  Next year this will be a distant memory.

I didn‘t mind taking a chance on Reed, but he makes Yonder look competent

He's going to end up stuck in the net like some 2-bit spiderman villain.

Guess the nets keeps the players safe too. That was pretty cool haha

Wait I was told that those plays wouldn't exist due to nets being evil.

Watch Eloy still hurt himself if he does that.

So Eloy is going to get a hit again, right?

Poor Mets. How can a team with this much pitching be this bad? Reminds of our 2016, except with an even more incompetent front office and ownership group.

Forget the **** game let's just talk about how incompetent everyone is because that solves a lot of problems.

Mets do know Tim isn't 100% right? He ain't stealing right now.

I don't mind Leury being a bench player on a team with as many fragile players as we have on it. Moncada and Eloy just seem like guys who will go on the IL for at least 1 stint a year.

Cease had him struck out... then walks him. Growing pains but he'll learn.

Cease is pitching great today. Hopefully yhe guy we saw from Cease/Giolito/Lopez the last time out is the type of performances we get for the majority of the remainder of the season.

I've got a bet with a Twins fan at over .275.  He'd need to be dreadful for the next two months to drop that far, but.....

He's certainly capable of that

To be fair, it was high.

I am watching the Mets broadcast and they don‘t have  a strike zone

Great play by Goins.

Eloy was playing way too deep for McNeil. I don‘t think he would have had a shot regardless, but still.

What a play by Goins

That was a hanger.

6th inning is new territory for Cease. He's never pitched past 5.

Fire Wellington into the Sun

Oh my God Castillo

they call it dog days for a reason. this is some bad, bad baseball

Cease pitched way better than his line indicates.
