These swings by Eloy suck.  He is awful at hitting spin.

Lopez seems to be throwing harder. Fastball has been consistently 97+.

 If I were a Phillies fan I'd be losing my shit over this series. Kapler, bad baserunning, not scoring vs. Detwiler, etc.

Patience. Moncada looked awful in 2018 too. He'll be ok. The talent is still there. Eloy was starting to get it going before he got hurt. Now he's starting from a completely different point. 2019 looks like an adjustment season for Eloy. Hahn and Kenny should be taking notes (wink wink)

Not missing a ton of bats today but lots of weak contact. Both are effective. I'd say he looks ok.

Madrigal is ideally suited to be in the 2 hole.

It's bad enough pitcher have to hit but damn ump that 2nd pitch was a strike ?

Pitcher threw one strike to 3 batters but struck them all out.

 

Smyly didn't throw a single pitch in the zone to Tim that AB. The 3-2 pitch was debatable and Timmy fouled it off but it was very similar to a previous pitch that was called a ball.
