They need pitching...and hitting...and coaching.  There has been a lot of positive developments this year, but they are still far behind contending teams.

Maybe they are just really bad.   It's a shame that someone in the pen not named Bummer would rise to the occasion and go into mental midget mode when the starter gives up 6 runs.

Our young pitchers are so inconsistent. Some nights they rack up the strikeouts and you think we'll have almost all our future winning rotation from tank/rebuild acquisitions. Then other nights they reek so badly you wonder if we need to go with 3-4 veteran free agent starters. I realize we'll not give up on the younguns but some nights they really blow chunks, others they are dandy.

They've given up 39 runs in the last four games. There is no doubt they need to address this in the off season in a big way. People are crazy to expect big things out of Kopech and Cease.

Wouldn't the signing of Dallas Keuchel have helped this team this year? Instead they've had Manny Banuelos, Ross Detwiler, Odrisamer Despaigne, Ervin Santana, Hector Santiago, Ryan Burr and Carson Fulmer in the starting rotation. It gives  some people the impression that the team is losing/tanking on purpose. AND of course, laughing all the way to the bank in doing so.

Frank must not be watching the games.  Sox are desperate for a DH and right fielder.  I do agree with him that two rotation pieces and 2-4 pen arms are needed.
