This isn't even worth debating.  Almost all of his earned runs on his near 7 ERA have come in the first 2 innings.  That is a problem that still hasn't been addressed.

Clevinger is just about the best pitcher in the AL, this should be fun

Lol at Jason the influx of talent... RFLMAO

Anyone see that picture @whitesox.com of Cease and how he has the tip of index finger on the seam of the baseball. What pitch is he throwing there.? Does he throw all his pitches with that grip ? I would think not so perhaps that is easy for the opposition hitters to spot since it makes that finger stick out above the ball.

Did Ricky and Cooper ever say definitively if Cease was tipping pitches?

Last I heard they were "looking into it".

I think we will get the decent Cease tonight. He will probably have one bad inning, hopefully he can minimize the damage.

Not as long as he has to face lefties

Yeah that's been an issue.

The way Clevinger dances on the mound, looks like he has to piss real bad

Logan Morrison was on a podcast where he said even at the AAA level hitters know what pitch is coming 85% of the time.  He went down the list of what he looks for.   Glove position, wrist angle, arm angle, they slow their bodies down on off speed. It's almost impossible not to tip pitches.  The idea is to command it so even if they know what's coming they still can't hit it.  Cease isn't there yet.

Why does McCann take for freaking ever to get in the box

Eloy smacked that.. thought he got more of it..

Nice job by Yoan and Eloy

McCann is tired. He should be hitting 7th.

Jason said the Sox are just better when Eloy is hitting with power. How profound.

the mighty Daniel struck out.

What is with the first inning shit fest we see all the time with our pitchers?  It happens to Gio too and it's been all year.

4 strikeouts for cease through 2. I know he has real command issues but I do think babip bad luck will normalize

Collins BB.

Cease has the K ball working so far.

That would drive me crazy as a hitter.

7ks through 3.

That first inning kills him almost every game.
