  • Isn’t it amazing the top 8 home run teams likely make the postseason?  For some reason, it’s not the top 8 teams in terms of sac bunts

If Adam Engel is able to hit at a .700ish OPS level like he is since his recall, he is a pretty decent 4th OF.

Yes yes, tank tank my pretties

Omg

Nice loss, Ruiz has no business pitching again this year.

This is definitely the best tank loss the Sox have had this season.

Laughably disgusting.

Great loss

Abreu looking defeated in the dugout. That man has seen alot of losses in his Sox career.

GET THE FUCK LOST, RUIZ!!!!!!

Allowing a walk off walk and a walk off HBP in consecutive appearances? How many pitchers in MLB history have pulled that sorry ass shit? Ruiz is a fucking loser!

@flavum update that tankathon baby!

You just hope they fire the coaching staff in the offseason.  As funny as some of these losses have been and the terrible game management, this type of stuff can't continue next year.

Our fan base has witnessed a lot of real bad baseball these past seven years.

Ricky really is the greatest tank manager in the history of baseball.  With that said, you have to get rid of him in two weeks.  He just is symbolic of failure.

Would love to have had audio of Hawk calling the last couple innings of this one

The real question is whether a 2 run lead is enough considering the pitchers left in our bullpen right now.

 Narrarator: It wasn't.

Giolito's high school coach single-handedly saved Cooper's job.  75% or so of the pitchers have underachieved this year, but god knows he'll be back.

Harrelson left at the right time, for both his own and his grandkids' sake, no way he could have survived loss after loss like this.

They would have scored 5 or more runs if that inning kept going.

On the bright side, the Jose Ruiz game worn jerseys should be gotten  cheap at the next SoxFest

I really want to know if a pitcher has ever had back-to-back appearances where he allowed bases loaded walks/HBPs to end the game. And Ruiz didn't even inherit these messes. He created them!

Worst pitcher we have. Herrera and Detwiler are at least has-beens. Ruiz is a never-will-be.

It's infuriating seeing this douchebag on our roster, but at least Timmy, Eloy, and Moncada had multiple hits. And a Collins bomb. And our shitbags are working on their soon-to-be unemployments. I'll accept that.

Ruiz <<<<< Sergio Santos

In the battle of former position players converting to relievers in recent Sox history.

That would have required a team contending for first place almost blowing a lead in a pivotal game, then getting run over daily from that point on every time they played the Twins for the remainder of 2003.

Indeed.  Ricky is doing an amazing job.

so tomorrow is a bullpen game also, outside of Nova pitching 1 inning. Covey has shoulder soreness.

We better start beating these fucks next year.

Chuck and Ozzie 2nd guessing Ricky because he's an idiot
