October 4, 20196 yr Author Hopefully the Rays can hang with the Stros. I think Brantley is going to have a huge postseason.
October 4, 20196 yr Side note, John Tumpane the HP Ump today is my Dad's best friends brother. Local guy grew up in Beverly.
October 4, 20196 yr There’s your game unless Verlander gets homer happy again. Terrible defensive breakdown, Meadows should have called everyone off, even if he was playing a relatively deep RF, it hung up there forever.

October 5, 20196 yr Meadows screwed up. He did something similar the other day too. 2013 ALDS Game 1 all over again. Close game at Boston and a Wil Myers screw up in RF blows the game open.
October 5, 20196 yr This would be the biggest upset in division series history if Ray's managed to do it. They wont though.
October 6, 20196 yr The pitching has been there. Just worst possible matchup for the Rays. And maybe anyone really. No reason to be mad or even upset. Atleast not getting embarrassed like the Twins lol.

They have a good chance to win in game 3 as Grienke is not elite like Verlander and Cole.

October 9, 20196 yr It looks like the smartest team in baseball (just ask them) made a really dumb decision. That's a shame.
October 9, 20196 yr Author Yeah, I don’t get the 3 days rest thing with a series lead. They must be confident Cole can handle Game 5 at home, and it would have just been a bonus if Verlander could close it tonight. Edited October 9, 20196 yr by flavum
October 9, 20196 yr Avi 2-3 tonight!!! He has been clutch and hit some absolute bombs. @greg775 Edited October 9, 20196 yr by ron883

I'd be so happy if they brought him back. If I lived in Chicago I'd buy season tickets for he and Jose anchoring the young lineup and I'm serious. We could get Avi for 2 years 12 million total probably. JD Martinez is gonna cost so much it'll make our heads spin (caveat: I do not care bout Jerry's wallet shrinking a bit, still bang for the buck Avi might give u that and spend the $$ on pitching, pitching, pitching). p.s: Avi is cleanup hitter on a playoff team tonight for an organization that likes advanced stats, hmmmm....
