Happy for nats. Goes to show you don’t need some aggressively analytical front office to win a WS still, but do need super talented and competent decision makers.

So everybody from that 2014 Tigers rotation went on to win rings.

Verlander (Won with Astros)

Price (Won with Red Sox)

Porcello (Won with Red Sox)

Scherzer (Won with Nats)

Sanchez (Won with Nats)

Damn is this satisfying. Those guys were real damn good and didn't win anything. Good to see it with other franchises that are not the Tigers

I paused the game to proofread an essay for my daughter. I hit play and resumed watching. With two outs in the ninth, I went to turn up the volume, accidentally changed the channel, and when I went back to the game, they were interviewing Scherzer.

I missed the last out.

Did you feel the boomer coursing through your veins at this very moment

I think players prefer the money over rings any day.

A good pitcher could pay a big price for pitching an extra month several years in a row. He might lose a couple of $10M salary years down the road.
