December 3, 20196 yr Greg, it isn't "monopoly money" because we know JR has a budget and thus every dollar overpaid to person X will eventually have to be paid for by underpaying person Y which may well result in not securing the services of person Y. Unfortunately we are very much a rob Peter to pay Paul organization. I just hope we didn't rob Wheeler to pay Abreu.

Sox fans on here were talking about Moose being worth about 9 mill a year. Ditto Abreu. Sox wanted him and paid him. Jerry's budget is not my concern after all the money he's made on the team. He can sell at any time for some astronomical amount. So pay pay pay so we can win a pennant or two.

If the Sox don't get Wheeler it's because someone like the Rangers over payed by more than the Sox wanted to over pay .
