December 10, 20196 yr Currently popping popcorn in anticipation of the responses this thread will get.
December 10, 20196 yr This article was discussed in length in multiple threads last night. This article title is also clear clickbait by DVS. Shame on him. Hahn didn't say that - some rival ALC scout did.

He knew exactly what reaction it would create, and not sure how that benefits anyone or anything associated with the org. Just bad reporting, frankly.
December 10, 20196 yr Why do it next year. Wait till 2022 and have a 2 year window. It may be short, but it could be a glorious 2 seasons. It's obvious the Sox aren't waiting, they went after Wheeler. How gullible to these writers think people are?

December 10, 20196 yr This article is from last night to be clear. DVS got quotes from some scout that supported the idea that the Sox are not yet ready to compete in 2020 and are better suited to compete in 2021/2022. DVS then twisted and contorted Hahn's annual WM GM Speak quotes from yesterday to support that idea. The headline was click bait as well.
December 10, 20196 yr Yeah, the article was a pretty shitty take on what Hahn said. He was stressing that the Sox don't need to rush to make a move right now when there's plenty of off season ahead. I think the Sox learned, however, from last year's missteps. We as fans want to see action. They've been active, and money-wise should have signed Wheeler. It's funny because had Wheeler decided to take the money and play here, we'd all be feeling a lot different, and we'd only be talking about filling a gap in RF. There still are plenty of options both via signing and trades. They're going to make more moves, and hopefully those moves improve the team as much as want them so.
