2020 NFL Draft Thread

Diggs goes a pick later to Cowboys. Johnson is better though (at least in college, minus injury) so I can't complain.

This pick is not good, 10 TE on roster already

Yeah, and 8 of them are non-factors and 1 is a washed up vet.

I'm content with the picks. Two guys who were fringe 1st rounders you got in the middle of the second, and who should immediately start.Wished they traded back but you need two teams to do that, and it seems like there isn't a whole lot of tradebacks this year in general.

Now please draft some OL.

Yes. 2 immediate starters in the 2nd round is pretty good.

3:15 mark. Love the confidence kid.

Denzel Mims to the Jets.

Love the Kmet pick. Chris Sims did a video on him that made me fall in love with the pick.

I'm a little surprised at anyone hating the pick.

Absolutely agree. I expect they will trade into this draft with one more pick at some point.  Probably Pace will dangle some pick from next year for a 3rd, 4th or 5th (or to move up).  With him having a few compensatory picks expected, my presumption is he will leverage part of that to buy one more now.  Man I really wish this team still had a 3rd/4th round pick.  Just pains me what they gave up for Montgomery and Miller...would have been nice, especially knowing how deep this draft was at wideout (and to be frank, they could have gotten a better back than Montgomery and never should have had to move up to get him).  I don't mind Montgomery but not one thing special about him (and I said those exact same things last year when they took them).

That said, I complain about Pace more than most here and I absolutely was 100% content with both guys they acquired. Both were fringe 1st round guys and have ability to be good starters.  I think pace would have maybe made a deal...but just not a lot of dealing in this draft (given the remote setup).  I think they wanted Kmet pretty badly knowing how key TE is/was to the Bears system.  And at least we didn't go with some DII TE. We took a guy who comes from a school that has produced some solid TE's.

I was surprised too. I get it, they have invested a lot in TE, but Kmet has the makeup of a totally complete TE.  Something Bears haven't had in a long time.

Panthers get Chinn. Booooo.

Another safety off the board. Ashtyn Davis to the Jets.

Raiders get Lynn Bowden; excited to see how hes used

They listed him as a RB (for now). Probably plays everywhere.

With the Raiders picking WR Bryan Edwards, the Mack trade is now complete in terms of the assets we gave up. Bears still have their 7th they'll pick tomorrow.

How many WRs can the Raiders take in one draft?

Ok I didn't know he had 3. That is a red flag.

Yep. That's why he fell. The surgeries all seem to go well by reports. His weren't as serious as Tua.

Dammit, I guess it wasn't realistic anyway.

Damn he would look good in a Sox uniform.
