matt anderson would be a good pickup for another organization.

The tigers mishandled him -- and I don't think they have good minor league instruction.

He might be a bust, but his arm is so good that he's worth the risk. Put the guy with the right pitching coach -- and he might be able to help your team.

I'm convinced a team like Oakland -- with Rick Peterson -- could get something out of him.

Don Cooper could get something out of him also.

Heading to the 7th the Marlins still lead 7-5.

Where was that pitch???

That's what I was asking myself...

Beckett K's, 9 outs remaining....

FILTHY. 7th inning, time for Marlins to break this b**** wide open.

NINE OUTSSS!!!!!!!

c'mon..... soooo close..... let's put some insurance runs up on that scoreboard!!!

Man, we need to get Beckett lol. He is mowin them down.

how many innings out of Beckett?

One more?

two at most?

how tight are those throat passages getting in Wrigleyville?

And Murcie hasn't posted for a while in this thread, but he's still reading it....

Guess the only way to keep him quiet about his "cheering for the Cubs" was to prove once again, without a shadow of a doubt that, the Cubs Suck!

About Beckett, I would personally leave him in there into he gets into trouble. It wouldnt be smart to take Beckett out( IMO) if he has been cruising through 3 innings. If he feels ok then leave him out.

Question for everyone

What whould you guys rather have

Only 2 winning seasons in ten years, but 1 WS, and possibly 2, or What we have done in the last 10 years????

I won't answer that directly, but I will say this. I'd rather have what we have opposed to what the Scrubbies have. They'll never live this series down if they complete the Choke...

i'd take the World Series.

case closed.

Your right, but whould you take the Marlins track recored in there short 10 year histroy, or what we have done since 93????

Marlins history, without a doubt.

Websters dictionary says.....

Cubs Noun

1) The young of certain carnivorous animals, such as the bear, wolf, or lion.

2) A youth, especially one who is inexperienced, awkward, or ill-mannered.

3) A novice or learner, particularly in newspaper reporting.

4) Cub A Cub Scout.

5) The biggest chokers in the history of professional sports.

Ya don't want to kill Beckett. I would leave him in until you can get to Urbina, but they don't have much shot in the World Series without his arm.

I would take a World Series win. No matter what they can never take that away.

f*** the world series, They just need to beat the Cubs, and Im done with them. Unless the Yanks get in, then Marlins all the way.

Yeah, I agree 100%, but I am sure Jack McKeon don't. We are not the one making pitching changes are we.

Well done Mike Lowell.

Veres is warming in the pen.........does Dusty want to win this game?

Nice woodwork by Conine the Barbarian. 2 on and 2 out. Farnsworth is done. Veres time. See ya next year chubs. :fthecubs
