Well,

The Dodgers won 4-2 in 1959

The Orioles won 3-1 in 1983

The Blue Jays won 4-2 in 1993

The Mariners won 3-0 in 2000

The Sox never got to an lose or out in 2005

The Rays won 3-1 in 2008

I'm not sure about before 1959.

IIRC, I am pretty sure 1919 was best of 9 and we lost 5-3

You gonna do 1917, 1906 and 1901?

I will leave that for someone who was there like @Texsox

MLB.com said that this is the first win and advance or lose and go home game for the White Sox in the play-offs.

Is this true?

I know it is true in the last 30 years.  Crazy.

Well, when you make the playoffs 5 times in 50 years, this becomes a real possibility.

Inaccurate.  Final game in 1959 was very one sided in favor of LA.  4-2 was the score of game 2, IIRC.  I was there.

@oldsox

The Dodgers won in game six - the series was won four games to two.

Yep I was at games 3, 4, and 7 or was game 2?

It is true.

1906: beat Cubs 4 games to 2

1917: beat Giants 4 games to 2

1919: lost to Reds 5 games to 3

the rest have been listed. Cue “well, when you’ve been to the playoffs only X amount of times!!!!!!!” And blah blah blah

It must be very hard to remember back 100 years when you were so young.?

I guess the good part is there's a lot of youth on this team that got exposed to post season baseball.  This will be a plus in the future.
