Yonder Alonso Retires

Featured Replies

Seemed like a good dude. Played way too much on our team unfortunately. Stole too many at bats from Yermin. Enjoy retirement sir.

And here I thought he retired back in 2019 while batting cleanup for the Sox...

Retirement is trying to sign machado.

lmfao

Can’t we sign him to a one day contract so he can retire with the White Sox?

Not the worst deal Hahn ever did.  Most laughable, though.

What a total waste of a rebuilding year that was signing Alonso ($9M ) and Jay  ($4M) to lure Machado and signing Kelvin Herrera for 2 years $18M. They could have got some real talent for all that money and that's while I'm not trying to figure out who else they spent money on that off season.

Because of this TLR hiring, can we be sure that the Yonder Alonzo/Jon Jay signings were Hahn’s idea? Those moves might have been dictated to him. That could have been Reinsdorf.

I bet mid life crisis swoops in at the last minute and grabs him instead.
